To set up our newly founded Operational Excellence & Quality Team we need an experienced young professional who is enthusiastic in taking a challenging project lead position within our matrix organization and introducing LEAN to our operational structure.

The LEAN Manager Operational Excellence is responsible for developing, implementing and advancing our OPEX program with the purpose of continuous improvement and to achieve customer excitement. The program shall actively contribute to the company’s business strategy and goals and align with our company values. In this position the LEAN Manager Operational Excellence reports to the Head of Operational Excellence and Quality.

LEAN Manager - Operational Excellence (m/f)

Your main tasks:

  • Adapt LEAN principles and practices to fit logistics environment
  • Manage roll-out of LEAN principles and practices through out the operational organization
  • Analyse and improve business processes to reduce waste / increase performance using LEAN and process management tools
  • Conduct trainings and coach stakeholders regarding LEAN and process management
  • Build relationships within the company across all levels to understand operational needs

We expect:

  • University degree (Bachlor, Master) in Business, Operations Management or 'Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen' or comparable education
  • Several years professional project experience in deploying and applying LEAN/continuous improvement concepts, principles and practices (f.e. such as 5S, One-Piece-Flow, Shopfloor Mgmt/ Teamboards, Team-Huddle, Coaching & Improvement Kata, Hejunka)
  • Experience in having operational responsibility and leading a team
  • Outstanding verbal, written and communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality, excellent interpersonal skill and being able to win and motivate people
  • Drive to identify and solve problems, customer centring mind-set as well as IT-affinity
  • Willingness to travel globally (~ 20%) and experience in working with colleagues from different cultures (India, Asia, East- West Europe, etc.)
  • Excellent English language skills
